Park up at the dip, roof up,breakfast, watch the lone kiter have fun in the flat water at the ferry, just powered up.Kit choice abit of a problem as the gauge showed anything from 10 to 14 kts but after the mega longboard session yesterday I went for the 8.5 on the carve.I struggled with the first few runs but then the breeze filled in and the big freeride gear was right most of the time and handled the big sea okay !!! I had a beat up the R.Deben to the yacht club and played with the lasers but the direction and tide state was wrong for flat water so I returned to the open sea and buzzed past the 30 footers a mile + out to sea !!! So a great day out in the sunshine with loads out with the windsurfers outnumbering the kiters for once.Top speeds were disappointing but it was wind with tide all day and beating was the order of the day.Top prize for the longest ever walk of shame goes to Mark Smalling who disappeared toward the Fludgers only to lose the wind and had to walk the couple of miles back !!! I had to call it a day at 4 as I sheared my spreader bar in half !!!
